Liberty
Hill Relief Association
Do you love history and always wondered what
it was like to live in the past?
Have you ever thought,
"I would like to reenact but I dont want to be a soldier?"
Then the Liberty
Hill Relief Association (a component of the 7th
S.C.V.I) is for you. It is made up of southern civilian reenactors who are a very
important part of the Civil War setting. We teach that the hardships of the Civil War were
not only felt by the soldiers, but by a whole nation.
As a civilian you can make up a persona
or live the actual life of someone from the past.
To reenact you are required to wear period
clothing, props are also a very important part of the experience of reenacting. Everything
brought into the camps must be period whether original or duplicated. We want the
spectators to feel as if they have walked back into time.
When reenacting as a civilian you may choose
to set up a period encampment separate of the military camp or use the modern campsites.
To join the 7th South Carolina Infantry Regiment Co. K Ruffin Guards,
