Welcome
to the home of the 7th South Carolina Infantry Regiment Co.
K Ruffin Guards. The 7th South Carolina Infantry Regiment is
a member of the Washington Civil
War Association. The men of the 7th, (including the
auxiliary unit) portray life as it was once lived during the
mid-19th century, (during the War Between the States). When
attending a Civil War reenactment you will get a much better
understanding of what the men and women on both sides
endured during the "War of Northern Aggression."
Members of the 7th
South Carolina Infantry Regiment include teachers, lawyers,
postmen, farmers, bankers, businessmen, students and many
other members of a variety of trades. We join together to
share a common bond for American history. Whether it's
because of ancestry, or the building of life-long
friendships, the 7th S.C.V.I. strives to accurately portray
a military and civilian unit during the 1860's. We portray
strictly that of a military and civilian unit and serve no
political affiliations. As members of the Washington Civil
War Association, we gather a minimum once a month at sights
located throughout Washington State and Oregon for publicly
viewed reenactments, parades and family activities. The 7th
South Carolina Volunteer Infantry, (also known as the
"Bloody 7th because of its bloodshed in numerous battles)
invites you to visit its many links above.
